October 20th at the Carlu

Business for the Arts invites you to an evening of fabulous music, dinner and conversation as we celebrate great business leaders in the arts.

Enjoy performances by Tafelmusik and Sophie Milman, 2008 Juno award winning jazz singer, followed by late night art happenings in the Carlu’s Round Room.

 

 

 

For over thirty years Business for the Arts has celebrated outstanding business leaders in the arts with an annual awards gala dinner.

 

 

This year, we will be celebrating our 2008 Bovey winner, the Hon. Henry N.R. Jackman for his decades-long contribution to the arts in Canada.  The award comes with a $20K prize to be given to the arts organization of his choice.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our First Arnold Edinborough award winner, Claudia Moore, will be recognized for her outstanding commitment to the arts as a young business volunteer.  She will be given a painting by an emerging Canadian artist along with a prize of $5K to be given to the arts organization of her choice.

Four Canadian companies will receive The Globe and Mail Business for the Arts award for their innovative partnerships with the arts. The winners will receive an award designed by Canadian sculptor and performing artist, Nobuo Kubota.
